In this article, we would like to show you how to find rows with NULL value in one of theĀ columns in MS SQL Server.

Quick solution:

SELECT *
FROM [table_name] 
WHERE [column_name] IS NULL;

Sometimes your data can be an empty string. You can select such rows with the below query:

SELECT FROM [table_name] WHERE [column_name] = '';

Practical example

To show how to find rows with NULL value in one of theĀ columns, we will use the following table:
