MS SQL Server - Create table

In this article, we would like to show you how to create a table in MS SQL Server.

Quick solution:

CREATE TABLE [table_name] (
    [column1] DATA_TYPE,
    [column2] DATA_TYPE,
    [column3] DATA_TYPE,
   ...
);

Practical example

In this example, we create users table with the following columns and types:

• id - INT,
• name - VARCHAR,
• role - VARCHAR. 

Query:

CREATE TABLE [users] (
    id INT IDENTITY(1,1),

    role VARCHAR(15) NOT NULL,
    PRIMARY KEY (id)
);
