In this article, we would like to show you how to check if the string is empty using string isEmpty() method in Java.

Quick solution:

String text = "";
System.out.println(text.isEmpty());  // true

Practical example

public class Example {

    public static void main(String[] args) {
        String text = "some text here...";
        String emptyString = "";

        System.out.println(text.isEmpty());         // false
        System.out.println(emptyString.isEmpty());  // true
    }
}

Output:

false
true
