Quick solution:

sudo yum install maven

Practical example:

1. Install maven with yum:

[root@localhost ~]# sudo yum install maven
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, langpacks
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
 * base: centos.hitme.net.pl

...

Complete!

2. Check if maven is installed properly by checking version:

[root@localhost ~]# mvn -v
Apache Maven 3.0.5 (Red Hat 3.0.5-17)
Maven home: /usr/share/maven
Java version: 1.8.0_272, vendor: Red Hat, Inc.
Java home: /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.272.b10-1.el7_9.x86_64/jre
Default locale: en_US, platform encoding: UTF-8
OS name: "linux", version: "3.10.0-693.el7.x86_64", arch: "amd64", family: "unix"
