In this article, we would like to show you how to convert ArrayList to String in Java.

Quick solution:

String joined = String.join(", ", myArrayList);

Practical example

In this example, we join items from fruits ArrayList using String join() method with a comma (", ") as a separator.

import java.util.*;

public class Example {

    public static void main(String[] args) {
        List<String> fruits = new ArrayList<>();

        fruits.add("Apple");
        fruits.add("Banana");
        fruits.add("Cherry");

        String joined = String.join(", ", fruits);

        System.out.println(joined);
    }
}

Output:

Apple, Banana, Cherry
