Short solution:

int number = 10;
String hexString = Integer.toHexString(number);

System.out.println(hexString); // a

Other simple examples:

System.out.println( Integer.toHexString(1)  ); // 1
System.out.println( Integer.toHexString(9)  ); // 9
System.out.println( Integer.toHexString(10) ); // a
System.out.println( Integer.toHexString(15) ); // f
System.out.println( Integer.toHexString(16) ); // 10
System.out.println( Integer.toHexString(17) ); // 11
System.out.println( Integer.toHexString(30) ); // 1e
System.out.println( Integer.toHexString(31) ); // 1f
System.out.println( Integer.toHexString(32) ); // 20
System.out.println( Integer.toHexString(33) ); // 21

In java to convert int to hex String we use Integer.toHexString() method.

1. Print int decimal and hexadecimal values from 0 to 20

public class Example1 {

    public static void main(String[] args) {

        for (int i = 0; i < 20; i++) {
            String hex = Integer.toHexString(i);

            System.out.println("dec: " + i + ", hex: " + hex);
        }
    }
}

Output:

2. Convert hex String to int
