1. Problem description

During executing my Java program with MySQL JDBC connection the following exception occured.

Exception message:

The server time zone value 'Central European Standard Tim' is unrecognized or represents more than one time zone. You must configure either the server or JDBC driver (via the serverTimezone configuration property) to use a more specifc time zone value if you want to utilize time zone support.

2. Quick solution

Driver connection url serverTimezone=UTC paramter should be added.

Example:

jdbc:mysql://127.0.0.1/my_database_name?serverTimezone=UTC
