In this article, we would like to show you how in the group rows by days in PostgreSQL.

SQL example:

SELECT
    DATE_TRUNC('day', "event_timestamp") AS "day",
    COUNT(*)
FROM "events"
GROUP BY DATE_TRUNC('day', "event_timestamp")
ORDER BY DATE_TRUNC('day', "event_timestamp")

Shorter notation of the example above:

SELECT
